CABJ Embracing New Media

The 2007 Annual Banquet of the Colorado Association of Black Journalists (CABJ)  took place on August 3 at the Denver Marriott City Center. The event featured journalists and media professionals all over Colorado.

The theme for the 2007 event was Embracing New Media.

Awards were presented to journalists in various categories, including Broadcast, Public Relations, and Print media.

This year, the highlight was the presentation of a Health Journalism Award sponsored by Kaiser Permanente. The award went to Adam Dempsey of Lincoln Financial Media. Also, four students were offered scholarship money to help with the financing of their journalism education at various journalism colleges and universities nationwide.
