Africa Agenda relies on a network of students, professionals, and academics. If you have a little time to help we would love to hear from you. You can volunteers with us as follows:
Web Coordinators/Editors to manage, coordinate, and edit the various sections of the Africa News Matters website. Requires social media and English writing skills, understanding of the editing process, and passion for Africa Agenda’s mission. We are looking for:
– Coordinating Editor to coordinate volunteer editors and edit 2-3 posts/month
– Assistant Editors to edit 2-3 posts/month as distributed by the coordinator
– Events Manager researches and adds events to the calendar
News Blog Fellows (journalists, academics, writers, and/or activists) commit to submitting 3-5 stories a year for publication or republication. While Africa Agenda cannot pay for articles, we give full credit for authorship on our site.
News Monitors This is a great opportunity for students in journalism school. News monitors will monitor selected media, and provide summaries of the news, observations, and trends on a frequent basis.
Network Bloggers from Africa-oriented companies, organizations, and individuals to write blogs that help to spread the word about work and progress across the continent. Your blog can link to your organization or personal blog space.
Africa/Colorado Networkers in the Denver, Colorado metro area, to help in organizing and documenting Africa Agenda and other events. If you live in Colorado and can help us to plan monthly meet-ups and other events, please let us know!
