MADIAMA MBAYE TO BE KEYNOTE AT 10TH ANNUAL AFRICA SUMMIT IN DENVER
DENVER (MAY 11, 2026) — Celebrating a decade of the Annual Africa Summit, this inspiring event brings together students, professors, business leaders, politicians, and community members to explore important issues affecting local and global African communities.
The event is scheduled to be held at 5 PM on Friday, May 22, at the Jewish Community Center at 350 S. Dahlia Street in Denver
This year, we are excited to welcome Professor Madiama Mbaye as our keynote speaker.
Hailing from Senegal, Mbaye is a passionate entrepreneur, leadership coach, and educator. He has had the privilege of training and mentoring many community members across various cultures through his engaging public speaking classes.
Ndiaye believes that each person holds unique gifts and resources that deserve nurturing to flourish. He describes his role as helping to clarify this vision and guiding others in developing processes to bring it to life.
Alongside Mbaye, community-selected table leaders will facilitate lively discussions during breakout sessions. These conversations will cover a range of topics, including trade, investments, African economy and politics, and global opportunities for Africans.
Typically lasting about two and a half hours, the event features a delicious African buffet dinner, lively music, report-outs from each table, and a vibrant networking session.
Previous distinguished speakers have included CU Boulder’s Reiland Rabaka, Colorado State Rep. Naquetta Ricks, UN Assistant Secretary for Conflict Resolution Simon Munzu, and Aurora Poet Laureate Jovan Mayes.
Organized by the nonprofit Africa Agenda, the Summit was inspired by the historic US-Africa Leaders’ Summit held in 2014 under the Barack Obama administration.
