The news being reported by Bloomberg News is that beleaguered Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has agreed to a constitutional amendment that will create the posts of a prime minister and two deputy prime ministers in Zimbabwe.
The plan is that Movement for Democratic Change(MDC) leader Morgan Tsvangirai will become prime minister if current talks to resolve the elections crisis succeed, and make for a peace deal in the country.
This is great news! For one thing, Zimbabwe has been hit by a cholera outbreak in which hundreds of children and adults have died. The situation there is compounded by poverty, unemployment, inflation, and political instability.
Far from chaos, it appears that we might be in for a surprise in Zimbabwe.
