Africa News Night on World Press Freedom Day 2019!

As we spring into another season in the United States – we at Africa Agenda say best wishes to you and your family. We thank you for staying with us!

As an organization we are heading into the celebration of World Press Freedom Day 2019. The day is not just another big day for media people, its symbolic of the very mission of Africa Agenda. For the last five years our organization has led the celebrations in Denver with the unique education programs that we provide that shine a light on media issues that impact the news and African continent.

This year – on Friday, May 3 or World Press Freedom Day 2019– we’ll hold an Africa News Night event at our Posner Center office in honor of the many men and women who provide vital news and information to the African people and continent.

Join us and invited guests for an African-style evening snack, coupled with guest interviews and discussions focused on the challenges facing reporters across the broad and varied African continent. We’ll cover topics such as – How Courageous African Journalists Get their Voices – State Control of the Press in Some Countries; Press Freedom Issues in Free as well as in Repressive Governments – Elections and the Peaceful Transfer of Power in Senegal, Nigeria – Upcoming Elections in South Africa. And much more!

Please come to celebrate and learn from some of the motivating reports from the continent. We’ll hear perspectives about first-hand reporting to understand the real stories breaking across the continent.

We thank you always for your participation and support!
